Set in the Northeast neighborhood of Kansas City, a team made up of refugee and immigrant teens has just 30 days to come together to play in the biggest tournament of their lives - The USA Cup - an elite competition with 15,000 players representing 20 countries around the world. With odds stacked against them and futures on the line, the team has a shot at something far bigger than a trophy: hope. This is the story of Global FC.

In August, we had the honor of bringing Chasing Goals back to Kansas City for its premiere at the Full Tilt Film Festival. The weekend began with a friends & family screening, followed by the official Full Tilt screening and Q&A.
Following the screening, Jillian Carroll Letrinko moderated a panel featuring Josh Gloer (Director), Curtis McConnell (Producer), Lara Krug (President, Foolish Club Studios), and Mariya Goodbrake (Founder & Executive Director, Global FC).
Having the young men at the heart of Chasing Goals in the room, alongside the community where the story began, made for a powerful night and a great reminder of what can happen when people come together to support stories that matter.
Thank you to Full Tilt, Rachel Kephart, and the KC Film Office for bringing the inaugural festival to life and including Chasing Goals as part of its closing night.
